Who is Lindsay?

Hi there, I’m Lindsay Shermeta, a multidisciplinary designer and highly organized creative thinker based in Chicago.

I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2024 with a degree in Strategic Communications, emphasizing Media Design, and a minor in Creative Technology and Design. My foundation blends visual storytelling, systems thinking, and technical execution, all aspects of my work style that I intentionally fuse into each and every project.

Creativity has always been instinctual for me, but what sets me apart is how I structure it. I’m deeply attentive to detail, thoughtful about hierarchy and clarity, and highly organized in the way I build and manage work. Whether developing brand identities, presentation decks, or interior concepts, I approach design with both aesthetic depth and operational precision.

My background spans freelance graphic design, high-end residential design firms, and client-facing retail design. While my current role keeps me close to interiors and client collaboration, my core strengths lie in translating layered ideas into cohesive, elevated visual narratives, and building clear systems to support them.

I thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environments where multiple moving parts need structure, polish, and follow-through. I’m proactive, resourceful, and naturally collaborative. I care deeply about doing things well – not just creatively, but strategically and thoughtfully.

Beyond aesthetics and execution, I’m motivated by impact. I’ve intentionally used my design skillset to support community-centered initiatives and purpose-driven work, and I’m committed to continuing to create work that contributes positively to the people and communities around me.

Some people are creatively driven. Others are technically wired. Learn more about how I am built to do both:
